Beyond The Bits Project

Have you ever felt shame talking about periods, sex or pleasure? Beyond the Bits Project exists to change that.

About Us

Beyond the Bits Project is a community-based initiative that creates safe, engaging spaces where menstrual and sexual health are no longer off-limits. Through evidence-based workshops and interactive programs, we normalise conversations about periods, sex, pleasure, and everything in-between. Breaking down stigma and empowering people with practical, shame-free education.

Started in Sweden and now expanding across Australia and Asia, we partner with schools, businesses, and community groups to bring proven, inclusive education to new communities. We adapt our approach to local contexts while staying committed to one goal: making health education accessible to everyone.

What We Do?

In schools, workplaces, and communities, conversations about periods, sex, and pleasure remain taboo. This silence creates shame, spreads misinformation, and prevents people from accessing the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their bodies and well-being.

Our solution: We bring evidence-based, shame-free education directly to schools, businesses, and community groups. Through tailored workshops, interactive programs, and collaborative partnerships, we break down barriers and foster the open dialogue that makes real change possible.

Beyond the Bits Project delivers workshops for schools, community organisations, and businesses. Our interactive sessions spark honest conversations and build confidence around menstrual and sexual health, blending research, reflection, and practical skill-building tailored to your audience.

Our workshops cover:

  • Body image and self-acceptance
  • Menstrual health literacy and menstrual equity in the workplace
  • Sexual health, wellbeing, and pleasure
  • Consent and communication
  • Building healthy relationships
  • Creating inclusive workplace cultures that support menstrual and sexual health

Our approach uses creative methodologies, including:

  • Games and interactive activities
  • Discussion circles and peer learning
  • Creative expression and storytelling
  • Evidence-based education delivered in accessible ways

Whether you’re a school supporting students, a community organisation fostering dialogue, or a business building a healthier workplace culture, we meet your audience where they are. From intimate workshops to panel discussions and large-scale events, we create safe spaces where curiosity is welcomed, and stigma is challenged.

Consulting Services

We partner with organisations, schools, and community groups to develop inclusive menstrual and sexual health frameworks, design tailored educational programs, provide staff training and capacity-building, and review and enhance existing curricula or resources. We also create custom education resources, including activity guides, discussion prompts, and toolkits that organisations can use to continue the conversation long after our engagement ends.

Research & Development

We conduct research and evaluation to understand community needs and measure impact. Our R&D work includes needs assessments and community consultations, program evaluation and impact measurement, development of evidence-based resources and methodologies, and contribution to the broader knowledge base on menstrual and sexual health education.
